The International Federation of Coaches (ICF) defines Coaching as, "a partnership that maximizes human potential". Gayle believes coaching is a skillset and a mindset that taps into the resourcefulness of people to access the wisdom of their lived experience and inspire creative solutions. Coaching partnerships can be formed with individuals, organizations or communities.

The effectiveness has been documented in many research studies. I offer two below: 

  1. In the Journal of Practical Consulting, Vol. 4 Iss. 1, Fall 2012©, Kay M. Bower, DSL, MS IS, PMP, identified three top agenda items for leadership coaching:
    (a) develop high potentials or facilitate transition;
    (b) act as a sounding board; and
    (c) address derailing behavior
  2. The Human Capital Institute and ICF 2017 research on demonstrated coaching effectiveness across several performance improvement categories.
